    Hare OM,
Ch.II, vs 11 : “The blessed Lord said : you have been grieving for those that should not be grieved for and YOU SPEAK WORDS OF WISDOM”.
Question : to which words is Lord Krsna referring to when he speaks of Arjuna’s “WORDS OF WISDOM” in this verse …as Arjuna’s grief only indicates a lack of wisdom, and a wrong assessment of the situation in which he is ?
Many thanks for your replies, Madeleine

I guess it’s about Arjuna’s justification about his moral conflict of warring/killing his teachers and family..his questioning about is it worth the war and all of it…I think this could be it..

Arjuna thinks he is speaking words of wisdom by thinking he is being compassionate etc. So the Lord starts from there. One initially agrees with the person so that he is open to listening.

    Thank you !

So Lord Krsna not only imparts wise knowledge to Arjuna (to us) in the BG but He also gives us the tools/ didactical method of HOW best to impart it !

    Yes, most definately so.
In fact that could be a whole research topic in itself. So many ways to make communication easier and more effective. In chapter 3 we will see many of those too.

Thank you Jankiji for making me understand how multilayered the BG is ! Indeed this seems to be a recurring method : in Ch III, Vs 1&2 again Lord Krsna ostensibly gives a (seemingly) conflicting advice to Arjuna (act or pursue knowledge ?)… in an effort to AWAKEN him from his emotional delusion.
Thank you for this unique opportunity to understand this universal knowledge of humanity that BG is.

Chap.III Vs 31 commentary regarding Sraddha «Sraddha includes the capacity of the intellect to reflect upon the teachings, understand, assimilate and make it your own. The ability to pursue it until you become one with it. Until the information brings about a transformation in your personality. Until the knowledge metamorphoses into wisdom. » (page 526). Does this definition of Sraddha also apply to Nididhyasana – as in : « Sravana » (listen, gain knowledge), « Manana » (reflect, question, contemplate) and
« Nididhyasan » (living the knowledge, engage & interact with it to transform). Could you kindly explain the difference ? Thank you very much.

Nidhidhyasana refers to meditation. When we have shraddha towards Self Realisation, the last step on the journey is meditation. Meditation is single pointed concentration by which the last desire i.e. for the Self, is annihilated

Thank you very much Jankiji for this clarification !
So at the end of the day
«  (All) desires cover the Divinity within » (from the commentary of Vs 38.) Even when the sattvik desire to realise the Self has reached one-pointedness meditation, that also covers the Self
« as smoke covers fire ».
Thank you very much Jankiji for this mind and intellect
    «cleaning up» and
« reestablishing/reset » procedure. One goes from one epiphany to the other. I try my very best to apply these new insights to shed light, i.e. analyse my thought
«currents» that led to behaviours & past experiences …and to fully be aware in the present with this in mind. The Bhagavad Geta is poetry, philosophy, psychology, « coaching »as one would say today, epic drama in one ! How fortunate we are ! Hari OM 🙏

Yes, Madeline, we are indeed fortunate to be in association with this knowledge.
Glad to know that you are seriously working with it.

Hari OM Dear Jankiji, thank you very much for your teachings.
My question refers to the state of Jnani. Krsna is the Supreme Lord.
As his friend and as the Supreme Lord He bestows upon Arjuna the Supreme Knowledge/truth in the BG.
He sees the Prakriti (Causal Body) of Arjuna and can distinguish it from Arjuna’s SELF. So far so good.
But in the situation of teaching, does Krsna impart the knowledge from “SELF to SELF” to Arjuna (as the Non-doer that He is) while at the same time addressing Arjuna’s Prakriti …or does he address his Prakriti until it dawns in Arjuna ? So….
Option 1) Krsna addresses the specific prakriti (equipments/vasanas) of Arjuna to attain his Self …
Option 2) Krisna goes directly from SELF to SELF
Option 3)Krsna addresses Arjuna’s SELF and Prakriti at the same time.
He repeats the Truth, until Arjuna’s Intelligence (prakriti) sheds his ignorance and he, i.e. Arjuna unites (yoga) with his (and universal) SELF.
Dear Jankiji please apologize for this long question !
    Thank you very much !

All communication is only to and from prakriti i.e. the equipment.
The Self is the subject so can never be the object of communication. It is the same in all so who will communicate to whom?
The Self is the inactive Principle that enables all action.
